Michael J. Glade was affiliated with our firm from 1990 until his untimely passing in 2023. Beloved by his clients and highly regarded by his peers, his practice focused on construction, real estate, commercial and insurance litigation.

Before beginning his career as an attorney, Mike obtained a degree in Mining Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Denver, and a law degree from Lewis and Clark College of Law. Following law school, Mike clerked for United States District Court Judges Robert Belloni and Gus Solomon in Portland, Oregon and as an attorney for Pepe & Hazard in Hartford, Connecticut, where he focused on Construction Law. Mike began his practice with Inman Flynn in 1990 and continued with that firm until its name change to Glade Voogt Lopez Smith.

In his more than thirty years of construction practice, Mike represented owners, engineers, architects, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and lenders. In the area of real estate, he represented buyers, sellers, developers, brokers and lenders. Mike’s practice included extensive mediation, arbitration and litigation. He litigated in State court, including the Colorado Court of Appeals and Supreme Court, and Federal courts, including the United States Bankruptcy Court.

As a devoted husband, father, and mentor, Mike is greatly missed. We continue to serve the needs of his clients. By keeping his name in the name of our firm, we honor the role model he was for his courage, selflessness, and professionalism.
